NOTE:Disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing the panel from behind the console. If its an F2 ERROR CODE, The F2 error indicates an open circuit in the oven temperature probe. Your range has a resettable thermostat in series with the oven temperature probe. If this thermostat opens the clock will display F2 and the oven won't heat. You can reset the thermostat by pushing in the reset button on top of the thermostat. Some ovens have an alarm that will beep continuously every six seconds to alert you that the oven is still on.
Usually, a kitchen timer that you have set will cause the beeping, but occasionally it can be an error with the oven's settings. If it is the kitchen timer, you can simply push the 'Kitchen Timer On/Off' button to end the continuous beeping. If that does not stop the beeping, it is probably beeping due to an error. You can turn the continuous beeping off but you may still need to troubleshoot the issue that is causing the beeping noise. Read more: Jan 09, 2017 . Temperzone controllers - Hanwest Han-L5 Han-L5 Controller The Han-L5 controller was used, from the late 1990’s until early 2000’s, in Temperzone and Bradway air conditioners throughout Adelaide and Australia. This controller is now obsolete and cannot be purchased as new from suppliers. Second hand products are occasionally available but generally unreliable.
Features • Black display screen with green lettering • Slide switch to change modes (Heat/Cool/Dry/Fan) • Clock feature • On and off timer for preset unit operation • Power failure auto on feature • AAA battery clock back up Hints, Tips and Problems Remove the batteries. This will stop the controller from saving the clock time if you have a black out but will help prevent the batteries leaking and the battery acid eating the electrical components in the back of the controller. This will also help prevent the controller turning on after a blackout.
The batteries tend to automatically switch the air conditioner back on once power is restored. Flickering display. As the Han-L5 controllers age, the green lettering tends to flicker while in use. This is pretty normal and will get worse with time.
This is purely cosmetic and will not affect operation until the display is unreadable. Buttons not changing correctly. This is also very common with Han-L5 controllers and DOES affect operation.
The most common version of this fault is the temperature up/down buttons switching the timer function on. When the temperature buttons are pressed, the ‘off’ timer is switched on. This can usually be changed by switching the timer back off if accidentally switched on (cycle all of the way to 12 then -- will be displayed, this means timer is now off again). Temperature display is really high 40 + deg C. Generally indicates the temperature sensor has failed within the Han-L5 controller.
